Disconnect the cable on the heater water valve. (on the firewall)

Then move the lever with your fingers.

I'll bet the lever is stripped and not actually moving the valve.

Yes, there is no more R12 in the system, just a little oil still in the compressor, you can remove it all now.

Yes, by hand.


Rotate the crank the same way the wheels would turn if the car was rolling forward.

Finding the mark(s) on the crank pulley is gonna be tough to the untrained eye,
