Re: Steering Quickener

In the new and unused condition I would say it has no rotational free play. At least there is none that I can feel. It does have a tiny bit of radial play, which is one of the reasons I was...

Re: Steering Quickener

rotten,

I didn't even know there was a three bolt version - interesting. I'm assuming from your pictures that you are relying on the single set screw that holds the coupler to the input of the...

Steering Quickener

When I started the process of installing a steering quickener in my car, I was amazed at the lack of images or threads about it on the internet. Either nobody uses these things, or they just don't...

Re: did these rims come as a dealer option on 86 civic 4dr

Those are period correct Enkei wheels. Lots of Honda and Acura dealers added those wheels to add more profit. They were probably cheaper for the dealer than the 'real' Honda accessory mesh wheels...

Wow, a thread with people actually discussiing a technical topic in a civil manner on Honda-Tech. Reminds me of the good old days. I haven't posted here in quite a while, but this thread caught my...

Re: trailer question. (E-AT_me)

Pics as requested. I just built it out of 3" angle - there's really not much to a trailer frame. I got it low by using a torsion axle with 4" drop spindles. This way, the centerline of the wheels...

Re: trailer question. (GI8U2racing)

My single axle trailer tows far better than the double axle trailer it replaced. I built the single axle trailer myself, so I made it light and low. Before, I had a normal double axle car hauller...

2006 Tundra crew cab 4x4 towing 1600lb EP car on a single axle steel trailer. Total weight with gear is around 2800-3000lbs.

I get 14-15 towing. Doesn't seem to matter much what speed I go...

Re: (cbr_ryder)

You're right about the collant flow direction - I don't know what I was thinking. The point is still that if the two hoses aren't both hot, then you aren't getting any coolant flow. How are you...

Re: (cbr_ryder)

I've delt with these cars for many years, and I've never seen a cracked block or head. Are you sure the thermostat is in the housing in the correct direction? If you are overheating and the...

B-series differential? Difference between hydro and cable

I have a question about B-series differentials. I know there are differences in the ring gear bolt hole dimensions between the GSR/Type-R and the others. What I need to know is what the differences...

Re: trailers and car haulers (paulzy)

I built my own trailer about 10 years ago. I'm still using it today - it probably has 30k miles on it. If you can find exactly what you are looking for in a standard trailer, then there really...

Re: (Evile140)

You may be right with your initial guess. If you have tried everything that's been suggested and nothing will move the problem from #4, it may be time to increase the plenum volume. The issue could...

Re: (Evile140)

That is a pretty big cam. Actually, I'm amazed that you can get it to idle at all at 1000rpm with that cam and 1000cc injectors. I think there may not be anything wrong with the setup other than...

Re: (Evile140)

I guess then I would be thinking that it is some sort of mechanical issue. Is it possible that the fuel rail has a restriction between the #4 cyl and the rest of them? Partial blockages in the...

Re: (Evile140)

The more I think about this, the less I think it could be anything related to the manifold. At idle, it can't make that much difference.

You mentioned that you switched injectors around, but have...

Re: (mopar junkie)

You also might try switching the direction of the fuel flow through the fuel rail. If it is an issue with fuel pressure variation within the rail, the problem should move to the #1 cyl.

I...

Re: Karts: How to ship a kid go Kart - Seller likes ONLY Local Pick up (schumi)

Re: Electric Power Steering (rsx664)

I don't think that adjusting the pressure is quite as easy as an adjustment screw on the MR2 pump. In the MR2, Toyota has a power steering control module that varies the pump based on load, speed,...
