Re: H22A NA Power Mods (DarkKnight[DMD])

Those are examples of suggestions you could make, not the minimal ones he doesn't want to hear. He just worded it badly. Threw me off for a second as well.

Re: Walbro Problem (mike1627)

Listen for the pump and make sure it's at least still running.

With the car off, turn the key to the on position. The pump should prime for about 3 seconds. If you can't hear anything, then the...

Re: DIY Retard timing for boost??? (BB6-213)

When you rotate the distributor you're moving backwards/forwards the trigger wheels. You're fooling the ECU into thinking the engine is either farther forward or backwards from actual.

In the 5th...

Re: (92LudeSI)

It's not really that big a deal. The EGR only opens during low RPM / low load. The main problem is that it heats up the intake, so that when it's not on, the intake is still pretty hot. The best...

Re: EGR block off plate (patastinky)

The 4th Gen OBD I's only have an EGR lift code, so you can remove the EGR from the manifold, block it, and leave the EGR plugged in 9vacuum and electrical) and you wont throw a code.

OBDII has an...

Re: (prelittlelude)

Actually the resonator valve opens up long before the secondary runners open up.

3000rpm for the intake control, and 4900rpm for the secondary runners. Those are 5th Gen numbers, I believe 4th...

Re: (Fly1865)

That's a vacuum solenoid, not a sensor. It's what actually turns the vacuum on and off to open the butterfly valve in the intake resonator. The black box is a vacuum cannister. It's used for...

Re: question: 300+whp centrifugal SC kit for under $3000 - would you want it? (prelittlelude)

A positive displacement supercharger like the Eatons/JRSC has linear boost, a centrifugal supercharger does not.

Re: Stand-alones... (mildly interesting)

Haltech E6k.

I'm not certain what you're talking about with the sensors. The E6k uses all the sensors you listed except the knock sensor. You can also just wire it all up to the stock harness as...

Re: where did you tap in your water temp gauge? (VTECNLUDE)

The ECU water temp sender is right beside the gauge water temp sender in the head. The ECU has a two wire more accurate sender, the gauge sender is a single wire sensor.

The normal operating temp...

You still have to tap the bleeder port. It doesn't just screw in. Well, at least you shouldn't.

You want it close to the stock location. The thermostat housing, is where coolant enters the...

Re: everyone who runs an aeromotive external pump w/ sump (hondahvn)

Well, on to seperate surge tanks.

You can build a seperate surge tank without the need to weld your gas tank.

Here's the surge tank diagram for my CRX.

Re: (Mystik)

I wouldn't bother with any kit that uses the L1H1 sensor anymore. Those sensors are getting far too expensive and hard to find. The new techedge and the new AEM will be using the LSU4 sensor, which...

Re: (NonovUrbizniz)

I put a bit on some dents in my Prelude. It made them go down noticeably. They aren't gone, though. Just put a bit on for about 45 seconds, take it off and let it warm up, repeat.
