for it to smoke that much during accel and consume that much oil it will most defiantly be a ring seal problem.

my setup made over 440whp using OEM distributor/coil/wires and ngk heat range 8 race plugs gapped to .030 for years. no spark issues.

throw the MSD pile of shit into the trash and use a OEM distributor/coil setup.

ps. while cranking system voltage @ 10v is normal.

i ran one of their pumps for many many years....had good oil pressure. no oil related problems.

pics and machining is questionable but hey...its a freaking oil pump....i guess if i was a little...

it would be loud and fvck but you should be able to drive it home slowly.....however you might want to make sure nothing around the hole is gonna burn/melt.....

just a note on the dynomax super turbo's....while the inlet and outlets are 3" but they quickly step/crush down to about 2.5" internally. they will work but are not a true 3"

but they do work well...

i used the super turbo for many years....made 400whp easily. only complaint is that they rust out rather easily. but it was one of the quietest setups i had with a proper resonator.

does not sound normal....what does your cooling system setup consist of? how big of an intercooler do you have blocking the radiator? is it pushing coolant into the overflow bottle when this is...
