Finally tuned it. See the results below. Looks like I have the classic CAI hump at 4500. Not sure how I get the hump at 6000. AFR around 12.5. Vtec at 4600rpm this is where the lines crossed...

Degreeing cams isn't just about hitting pistons. Its about making sure your valves don't hit each other and making sure they open at the correct degree.

Try a screw extractor. Youtube it and see how they do it. Might work for you. Otherwise yes drill it out and retap. Just don't go too far in.

First and second ring gaps look good. I can't remember on Hastings what tells you what side is up. It should have came with instructions. There might be a dimple in the ring that tells it is up or...

Go on craigslist or facebook marketplace and buy a used d16z6 from $100-$500 is my guess. No matter what you do to that engine it will not be factory reliable without putting a lot of $ into it.

Sorry no pics of any of this.

Engine got assembled. Installed Mfactory LSD. Dropped the engine in.

Started up and my Vtec oil line leaked like crazy. Turns out I tightened them way to much...

I assumed everyone knew you need to measure the piston first then bore to spec.

Okay looks like p2w is in spec. Yes your ring gaps are way too large. I have only used Hasting rings. All the Hasting rings I have bought were within spec or had to be filed to get the correct...

0.05 mm is 0.0019 inches. I believe most people here shoot for 0.001 - 0.002 inches on aluminum cast pistons.

What were your ring gaps? If your piston to wall (ptw/p2w) is too large your ring...

Are both the AEM gauge and analog output off? I can't remember but I believe the gauge and analog output gave me different readings. I will have to double check when I have the car back together.
