This is a high boost application build that I decided to end due to the needs of funds for the family. These are professional grade engine components completed by the most respected Honda engine builders there are. The head is a Full Race Port and Polish job by Endyn (Energy Dynamics). The block is a Cryo-treated Darton MID sleeved block by Race Engine Development. For anyone who isn't familiar with these names, Endyn and Race Engine Development together build official Honda race engines used on track courses worldwide. Steve Demirjian, President of Race Engine Development, is the current patented inventor of the Darton MID sleeve. With this in mind, you can imagine the experience and attention to detail that Steve has instilled in the building of this block. Here are the details on the head, which can be confirmed by contacting Endyn and providing the head serial number.

Stated by Endyn as their 2nd best flowing H22 port job and flow tested at 345 cfm.
Will throw in Skunk2 Pro series stainless steel valves that are ground to match the valve seats. Valves have less than 1200 miles of use.













The details on the block, which can be confirmed by contacting Steve at Race Engine Development with the block serial number, are listed below:

Sleeved by Race Engine Development (patented inventor of the Darton Sleeve).
Sleeved with Darton MID sleeves that have been cryo treated (stronger and more durable than the standard sleeve).
Bored to 89.5mm (2.3 liter).
Has had the balance shafts eliminated and oil ports for the shafts welded.
Less than 1300 total miles since the sleeve job.
Super clean and in perfect condition.
Would be the perfect choice for a high boost H22 application.
Has never been under boost or high stress. I ran this block in my prelude during the break-in period until the #4 ROD bearing spun. Looks like the pressure relief valve in the oil pump failed. All of the block mains are intact as you can see in the pictures (which were taken after the oil pump failure). Only the rod and the crank suffered damage from the oil pump failure. The bare block and mains remained in perfect condition, as you can see for yourself since the crosshatching on the block from the machine shop are undisturbed.
Comes with the invoice from Race Engine Development that includes all the machine work and parts included. Includes the bare block, mains w/girdle, rear plate, front plate with freeze plugs where the balance shafts were removed, Pro Drive Oil pump with new OEM pressure relief valve assembly, water pump with less than 5000 miles, and OEM H23 manual tensioner conversion. I may have more parts to throw in so don't hesitate to ask me if I have some laying around. Tons of potential, just needs a buyer who will finish the build and present some serious potential on the track or street.

$2500 FIRM takes the head and the block. If you are interested in one or the other, just contact me and we'll negotiate a reasonable deal. I'm losing more than $2500 by letting this go for so cheap. So plz keep that in mind I have the Prelude for sale, which is the car that this engine was installed into. If I don't sell either one soon, at this firm price, I'll be better off finishing the engine build, and selling it at a higher price as a complete engine, assembled and ready for high pressure forced induction applications. At least I wouldn't have to live with losing thousands of dollars on this project, just because I'm having to lower the price so much to sell it all.

The engine includes Skunk2 Pro Series stainless steel valves lost motion assemblies, rocker arm assembly, cam caps and all other factory head components other than cams, springs, and retainers. Will throw in a pair of stock cams.
Also includes Crower H Beam Billet Steel rods, pro drive oil pump, and the crank.

I've updated some details for the sale. The current price is $2500 FIRM. This is an extremely capable engine for forced induction applications. Do a little research of the components of this setup and you'll quickly realize why I've invested over $7k. I feel that this price is very reasonable considering what you are getting, which is an engine capable of over 50 psi of induction pressure. I've even gone as far as verifying with Steve @ Race Engine Development (builder of the block) and he mentioned that my price is reasonable for the current economy.
