But I kinda didn't want Brittney to win it though.. u know now he's amongst the likes of Senna and Graham Hill with his 3 in a row.
Seb's Italian is back up to par.. bravo raggazze.
Oh, and JB in the points for McHonda.

Germans love complex solutions to simple problems though so we shouldn't be too surprised by the call to pit.
Probably something in his eye again.

Yup, and that was like the best part, Ham's reactions, comments, body language was priceless, and Seb was just cold chillin. At least Nico admitted he had a lot of luck.
Then again NBC's been cutting off the post race interviews for a while now, not surprised they cut the podium ceremony... supposedly they said it was going to CNBC or something for the ceremony, but all the NBC channels had Brit League futbol.
Good thing I caught the ceremony on UniMas.

Any other track with normal Pirelli deg I agree 100% but in this instance I wouldn't even pit if they told me to come in. Hindsight is 20/20 but as soon as he pulled in I was like wut? I was more baffled by his pit stop than I was by Max's divebomb.

A driver is working with very limited information and should not be allowed to make a call like this. There is a reason Mercedes has race engineers. If Lewis doesn't trust their judgment he should find a different team to drive for.

Re: The Official Formula 1 2015 Season Thread
this is from the last race:
Asking the team if it was "impossible to catch" Rosberg, the World Champion was told "we should just consolidate the position."
Hamilton was not happy about hearing that.
"It's not nice for a driver ever to hear that," he said on Sunday night. "I'm here to race; I'm not here to finish second, so naturally I ignored that."
The Brit continued to push hard, forcing Rosberg to do the same.
But once he realised the task was fruitless, he backed off to cross the line 17 seconds behind his team-mate.

if anyone missed the post-race stuff (podium, interviews, etc.), you can see all that via the NBC Sports site.
Lewis was grumpy as hell. loved it when they were chanting "LEWIS, LEWIS" after the anthem.

I dunno for sure who's fault it was until more news comes out, but it was a bad move regardless. Even Niki's said that's not how a championship team should act. #notthinkinglikeachampion lols.

Re: The Official Formula 1 2015 Season Thread
actually, it probably was more Ham's fault, according to this...
Hamilton contributes to his own downfall | thejudge13
Oh, and Prost also won 3 in a row in Monaco as well... I always forget about Frenchy.

Hamilton challenged the decision which had been made that he should ‘stay out’, and told the team, “these tyres are going to drop in temperature”.
.......
Yet one of the cold hard realities in the post mortem will be, had Hamilton simply obeyed the instructions from the team to “stay out”, the fateful pit stop would never have taken place. Add to that, Lewis was unhappy with the team’s strategy which failed to pit him last year, and so he added an incremental element of doubt into the confusion over whether Lewis should receive a change of tyres.
.......
Lewis conceded in the media pen, “I feel content in my heart; I did everything I could,” admitting “It was a collective decision.”
Of course it was Mercedes pit wall who failed to correctly asses at the last corner that Lewis no longer had a sufficient gap to get in and get out and remain in the lead, but by then the die was cast and it had been decided that Lewis would be coming into the pits.

But it wasn't free doe?
I was thinking about this through the afternoon/evening about HOW IN THE **** he could lose 20+ seconds under the SC. Then it occurred to me, Hami got picked up by the SC while the other two got to go much quicker to "line up" behind him.
I'm not saying Falcon or I wouldn't have made this mistake, but how Merc does is beyond me. I will say this, Toto's explanations are good enough for me (one of which was Ferrari could have pitted Seb because they were 10s behind, and if Hami was at Rascasse, then Seb was only at the Swimming pool, enough time to make a last second pit call). Now the Sky F1 boys? Dear christ what a bunch of nut swingers. No doubt Hami got screwed out, but these guys make it sound like Merc banged Hami's girlfriends (yes, plural) while he had to watch.

What is this crap?
Re: The Official Formula 1 2015 Season Thread
He led Rosberg by 19.349s at the moment the virtual safety car was deployed, but needed more than 24s in hand to resume the race in front of the pack. The fastest pitstop duration of the entire race was Kimi Raikkonen's sole stop on lap 37, which took 24.177s, meaning Hamilton was already 4.826s shy of the gap he needed - even without the fact his extra stop was another 1.318s slower than Ferrari's benchmark (on account of having to wait for Felipe Nasr's Sauber to drive past in the pitlane).
So the question on everyone's lips after seeing Rosberg, not Hamilton, win the 62nd running of the Monaco Grand Prix was: why on Earth did Mercedes decide to make that extra stop?
"The simple answer is we got the math, the calculation wrong," explained team boss Toto Wolff, during a packed media briefing in the Mercedes motorhome. "We thought we had a gap which we didn't have when the safety car came out. In Monaco, you have no GPS and that makes the whole exercise more difficult - this is why we got it wrong when it switched from the virtual safety into the safety car.

That's what the NBC guys were saying, the switch from VSC to SC made a difference. It's all a moot point doe if Ham came in after being told not to. Do we know if that was truth or just a rumor?

Re: The Official Formula 1 2015 Season Thread
A royal **** up. Easily made by amateurs (as I), but still find error that large a bit surprising. Like they say in F1, it's never really over until the checkered flag falls, and the stewards say so, and the Court of Appeals agree.

Re: The Official Formula 1 2015 Season Thread
I can't put that on Ham. Merc had the data that said he could pit and remain ahead (or so they thought). And whatever issues Ham said he had with the tires, Nico and Seb would have too. Let the best single-seater racers in the world do their damn job and warm up cold tires.
Sheesh.
