NASA HPDE at Talladega Fran Prix Raceway May 15th-16th
I was wondering if anyone on here is going to the NASA HPDE event at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway (TGPR) http://www.tgprace.com on May 15th-16th located in Munford, Alabama (between Birmingham and Atlanta). I instruct there for different groups several times a year and well it will be the first time for me with NASA. Fairly tight course, lots of runoff, turn 1 and 4 are always a blast. Anyone?

Low 12s on street tires is pretty fast. Should be fun. I will be there with a new car (to me), new tires, new wheels, new suspension. So the learning curve will be pretty steep at first on a famaliar track.

yeah at the track. The only recorded time I have last time was a 1:13.5 with a passenger. I can carry a bit more speed thru the back sweeper and a little more on a couple of extra corners.

were you there at the honda/acura track day trey commander did earlier this year? I think you were but I'm not sure I know you. Come say hi if I end up going. Red civic hatchback with lots of stickers on it.

Yeah I was there. I found out on friday I could make the event so went I showed up saturday and Trey made me chief instructor. LOL. I have helped him out the last few years. Nice guy. good event. I drove Trey's car two sessions and a friend loaned me his Porsche 944. I will be in a yellow 88 CRX Si. It was my student's car at Trey's event. It hauled *** so well I sold my tt supra and bought it two weeks later.

You should simply say, "red 4th gen civic, VERY fast..." That would be accurate.
Too bad that's the same weekend as our novice school and points event...
