alumalite 4x8 1/4" double sided for $109
is this a good price? i read on some mini forum that that size normally cost around 80-90 in a posting back in 2009 but i can't find anything cheaper than $109 right now.
can anyone confirm the current on going price for these sheets?

seems like a good price as a sign price told me 180~200 for a new sheet. Used from that place I paid 50 for.

Yes but if your trying to get a 2-3 inch leading edge wood has quite a lot more flex in it than alumalite and weighs a lot more than the alumalite. Also if you have that big of a leading edge on an integra you can only get 2 blades out of it in wood or alumalite.
I have a P1 splitter setup that i have used since last season and now all I use is the lip and lip stays because my boxed off front no longer allows me to get to the quick connect that kiwi designed. Don't get me wrong the kit is very nice but the wood flex even with the short leading edge just wasn't cutting it any more. I just built my new splitter out of a alumalite sheet to have a 4 1/2 leading edge and go to the back of the sub frame. Even with my heavy steel splitter brackets and the way bigger splitter design it ways half as much as my old setup. From 3 months ago to 3 weeks ago I shaved just shy of 3 seconds on west coarse miller motorsports with the new design. Price difference well for a marine or furniture grade 3/8inch is around 35-45 bucks, used sheet of alumalite 50... thats close to a wash to me.

A splitter blade is disposable.
If everyone would be soooo lucky to get a used signage sheet for 50 bux then id say maybe.
But for a 4x8 sheet of wood its worth the money.
On a DC you should be able to get at least two blades easy.
Still cheaper and easier to make from wood.
Maybe your wood wasnt grade AA or marine grade?
I've never experienced wood flex in my set up on a EG.
Im wondering how far out your blade sticks out?
The P1-s were built to NASA HC spec, which i believe is no greater than 2 inches protruding from the bumper.
If yours sticks out further id understand the flex you speak of.
Most interesting....

I've been pretty happy with my P1 splitter which is wood. When I got it originally I made a jig and a few extra splitter blades. I'm already onto my 2nd blade, I haven't had any issues with the blade flexing even at our larger tracks around here.
Powerneedy do you have any pictures of your blade setup? I'd be interested to see what the alumalite looks like with the P1 lip and how you mounted everything together.

THAT'S CHEAP! Most places I've found in Nor Cal want around $300 on average. I finally found a shop that sells sheets for $180.
