Re: Best coilovers for the track?
Probably because this has been answered literally thousands of times on this forum. Search and you will find its been answered...
Plus, there is no best coil over for the track. Its all opinion based and budget based.
Best setup? Penske or Moton or other $10k plus setups.
End thread, I listed the best.

Re: Best coilovers for the track?
for those who want to go fast for cheap i suggest progress cs2
allows for ride height adjustment so you can get it in the sweet spot 12" from the center of axle nut to the oem fender and has good enough damping for 550f/650r spring rates. what more can you ask for for 575$?????!?!??!?!?!?!?

Re: Best coilovers for the track?
i'll suggest DNA motoring and GODSPEED they're the best!!!
Trolling aside, i used Blitz ZZ-R on my ek9 10k fr and 8k rear...not too stiff when you set them all the way "hard" it also depends on what tires you're running...i'll definitely agree with SWIFT springs maybe something a little bit more aggressive like 18 or 20k up fr and 12- 14k rear...

Re: Best coilovers for the track?
Absolutely not! Not only have I come across several blown, but the ones that aren't ride awful for their spring rates being relatively mellow... which means they are not a good coilover. I literally lost sleep for days when I originally did the 450/400 spring rates on Koni/GC. Nobody had run them before, and everyone said that is way too stiff for the street. Even Ground Control asked me if I were sure I wanted to go with those rates. Guess what, it's now the most common spring rate setup they sell and IMO it's too soft for even an aggressive street driver. Koni sports are a even a budget/entry level shock and ride better than the Skunk 2 matched shock and spring.

Never had experience with them or heard a good comparison between something else. I look at things like serviceability. Which is a reason why I tend to stay away from some companies. I have heard horror stories having coilovers sent out to be rebuilt with months turn around time because they have to go overseas. Tein have to go back to Japan for service and it usually take 6-7 weeks. Koni the max is around 3 weeks with several companies/locations in the states to send them to. KW I hear is around 2 weeks also because they are stateside.

"shockdyno"
Probably the worst coilover i've dealt with on track.
Hysteresis, incosistent damping, cross talk all featured. :')
