Default PS pump .... worth replacing?

2007 odyssey
about 110,000 miles.
My wife mentioned the PS is not as smooth as it use to be (mainly when at stop).

Before replacing it myself, I read online & some have said that even with new PS pump it doesn't fully fix / correct the deffective design of the pump itself.

If you have replaced a PS pump that you have replaced with OEM part:
- did you notice a big improvement?
- how many miles as the new pump lasted ?
- has the hard steering at stop returned even after with new pump?

It usually fixes it, also replace the reservoir with the updated part and make sure the pressure sensor on the p/s line is plugged in and the wires are not broken. I can't comment on long term, just driving them all in and then out of the shop.

If she is having a hard to turn feeling at slow speeds it should be covered under a "recall/SB" that Honda has out for that issue.
I've done a ton of them..
