Please HELP !!! 99 crv propeller shaft
I have a 99 5spd crv and I'm going to be in need of replacing my propeller shaft and I called a local junkyard and found one for an automatic 98 crv and they said that there is a differance for the shafts is this true I want to make sure I replace it b4 it goes bad !!!!!! So my question is are all 97-01 propeller shafts the same regardless of the year or if it is an automatic or manual ? I know I could buy the rockford u joints and fix it that way but seems more headache then it is worth thanx in advance

i dont think that theres a difference.. coz i replaced one of my V's prop/drive shaft
that came from a manual lower model, it fits right through!

i tried using a qoute from both 99-5spd and 98-at...
same part no. hen your good to go!! try to low ball them for
the price and tell them that youll take your chance,,LOL!
they might give it to you cheaper! but inspect first what they are
selling, it might be a bad shaft too.. youre just wasting money, tell
them also or if your gonna pick it up, put a good support on the cross
joint, coz most of the issues starts from there..
HTH..
good luck!

Re: Please HELP !!! 99 crv propeller shaft
Just rebuild it, its a lot cheaper. The universal joints are made by a company called http://www.rockforddriveline.com/. My machine shop installed it for about $100. Both joints were about $70. It fixed the play the propeller shaft had.
