Pot hole in Odyssey & TCS and Flashing D lights and slow
Hi all, I hit a big pot hole the other day in my 2004 Odyssey that caused quite the jolt. I hit it on my front driver side. Immediately after my TCS came on and the D (Drive) light began flashing. I was still driving but when I went to accelerate I realized that it was slow to accelerate. It still drives, and will accelerate, but you have to give it more gas than usual for it to pick up. It still shifts fine and no jerking or slipping yet. But I've been careful to only drive it the rest of the way home and to test it in my neighborhood. Dont want to push it. I tried restarting vehicle to see if lights went out, but no change. Ive been reading a lot of forums about the D light flashing in Hondas but no one has had theirs happen due to a pot hole collision. Do you think it is still probably a gear pressure switch or could something have broken due to the collision? Fluid is good and level. It is older and bought used but well maintained. Any other ideas?

You can jumper the pins in the OBD2 port to read the codes in the D-light. This will tell you what the computer is having a problem with. Just be sure to jumper the pins exactly as shown or you will blow a fuse. Not a bid deal since you have spares to replace it, but it's a surprise when it happens and a waste of time to find the blown one.

Ugh! So I did what you recommended and checked the codes and 1 of the dreaded A/T codes came up. Figures! I was hoping it was just a gear pressure switch like so many other peoples I read on here that had similar symptoms. But I got 1 long and 6 short codes for a 16. It says its a A/T Clutch pressure control solenoid valve A.
Can that even happen just by hitting a large pot hole and jarring it? So it's an electrical problem that requires a real service appointment then? I can't afford this crud! Story of my life.
