Hello everyone.

I just bought Odyssey 2005 Touring with 135000K Mi. I love the performance of the van, however there are several thing I would like to take care.

First it never had timing belt changed and I have ordered a kit. I dealer told me that he thinks one of spark plugs is loose since he can hear a noise which is louder than normal. So, I am planning to do spark plugs at the same time. Is it easy to do spark plugs at the same time as doing timing belt or these are two jobs with different point of access so I will not save time doing it at the same time?

What other parts would you recommend me to replace at the same time doing plugs and timing belt considering age and mileage of the van?

The previous owner removed PEX tires and I have now TPMS warning on the dashboard. Is there a way to disable it? Or may be I can install sensors on regular tires? I prefer no sensors.

For how many more miles can I expect the van to last if I take care of it?

sensors can be taught to learn new wheels, so i've heard.

serpentine belt and belt , may as well look into that if you doing Timing.

I would inspect all the fluids and replace if necessary- except the tranny fluid. If the tranny fluid smells burnt or you find metal shavings then put it back in or just do a drain and fill (drain out the top 3-4 quarts then fill with new). I would also do a valve lash adjustment if it sounds loud. Honda says to do it every 100K miles but, a lot of people have had to do it around 60K miles. Oil and filter change. Inspect and/or replace the air filter and in cabin filter (behind the glove box). Just give it a general look over and replace any belts or hoses that look worn.

Regular tires will not fit on PAX wheels. Check tire pressures and adjust accordingly. PAX tires are run-flats so it's possible 1or more are low. Then drive the vehicle and the tpms system will re-calibrate itself once you go above about 28mph. As for the t-belt, I would recommend replacing the water pump, timing belt tensioner and serpentine belt as well. might be a good idea to do the front Crankshaft seal since it's right there.
