Partially correct Ivy....

A drive cycle is typically starting up cold, getting it to operating temp, shutting it off and letting it cool down to below whatever threshold the ECU has pertaining to the ECT - thats how the ECU knows when a drive cycle has occured - it looks at the ECT sensor.

Now, what you may need to do, as suggested, is go drive 15-20 minutes because what hasn't been run are the emmisions monitors - which is what the smog station is really checking. Many people are led to believe that simply presenting a car with the CEL out is enough - its not - the emmisions monitors need to have been run and completed.

It sounds like you reset your ECU prior to getting smogged.

EDIT: Wow - just saw your other post - you passed with NO catalytic converter - slick. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

EE_Chris thats some good info thanks. I just drove my car up and down the highway a couple times, and the next morning when i started it up i got a check engine light. I didnt know you had to let the engine cool down. Always learnin somethin new and yea i actually swapped ecu's right before i took emissions. Thanks for the info https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
