HELP! Accord Makes noise when accelerating
 

Whenever i accelerate my 94 honda accord- it sounds like there is something rubbing in the exhause area. It makes a DRRRRRR noise and i don't quite get the acceleration i want. I replaced the muffler to no avail.

did you check the cat converter? have you noticed any gas mileage issues? did you check to see if the new exhaust is hitting any of the heat shields? just a few things to check--kinda hard to pinpoint without seeing/hearing it in person.

check your manifold for cracks or exchaust leaks

I first started hearing the same on my accord 97lx 4dr in 2002. Few months later bottom part of heat plate rusted off. Since then I have this problem. Honda tech has alwasy been saying he could not trace the problem. But I can notice it when accelerating smoothly... the top portion of the heat plate also came off.
They say my muffler and the tube attached is bad all the way from catalic converter....
would replacing muffler and th tube fix the problem?

my car is making that same kind of noise when i accelerate slowly!!!! im not sure what it is tho. i have a 1994 honda accord ex automatic.????
