4x100 to 4x114.3 Lug Conversion question!!

Okay, I've been searching for a half hour now and can't find what I'm looking for.
I know you can get the 96-97 spec ITR suspension to convert DC/EG's to 4x114.3. I also heard that there is another way to do it to get the 4x114.3. Something about Accord or Prelude hubs and all you do is bolt them on?? I'm not exactly sure what to look for and how it works. If anyone has any input, please share. TIA.

Out of curiosity, what is your motivation for wanting to perform the conversion?

I have 4x114.3 Mugen M7's that I desperately want to put on. Also like the styling of the 96 ITR wheels and want to do something different.

I just did a writeup on the 4x114.3 onto a Civic using the ITR stuff. If you want, you can look through the 96 ITR Brake thread and see what parts are interchangeable, and you could "custom make" some 4x114.3 brakes.

to convert it to the the 4x114.3, is to use the hubs from a prelude's. thats all you really need.

you can use any brake setup off of a 4x114.3 hub you want

its easier and most likely cheaper just to buy a JDM ITR 4 x 114 conversion. I would not do it again if given the choice

I like how you spell model. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

yeah, accord and 3g prelude have that bolt pattern, but im not sure it will work from a prelude.

Also I believe the brake caliper sit a little further out, on mine, I have the ITRs (96 rim), and the brake are from a Aerodeck (I have to check to see if the parts numbers are the same as the Prelude) But the ITR contacts the caliper, I had to run 3mm spacers. But anyway, once I can get my lazy ass to Honda and cross the parts numbers I'll know for sure. And they are the same as one of the model Accords too, which should be easy and cheap to find in a junkyard.

that has been the case from day one in the (FAQ 95.5-97 ITR brake thread) the calipers them sleves are bigger, i just ground down the caliper alil and all was well. and im willing to say that they are, im 99% sure they are becuase every other car that came with the 11.1" rotor in the same spec's as the ITR all have the same caliper.

and the wheels from the 96 ITR were just not made to be able to handle that big of a caliper. from what i have heard most after market wheels will fit without modification ( if they fit on a prelude vtec they will fit on a 96 itr setup)
