AEM Big Brake kit, what direction do the rotors go?
 

Which of these pics better shows the direction that the AEM big brake kit is supposed to travel?

from what ive seen the slots should be angled towards the caliper they are moving towards, if A is a picture of the front passenger side rotor then I believe that is correct, but im sure that people use them both ways, i would just think that would work best, maybe it doesnt matter that much in reality though

The slots are supposed to to angled towards the brake pads. This helps the rotor dissapate heat better. When you do get the AEM brake kit then it should have info on where each goes.

ok ok, i retract my previous statement, got to thinkng about it and the way this last pic is does seem to be right, so the gases can escape better, although i dont like the idea of slotted rotors to begin with, esp if you have slotted brake pads, but this topic has been beat to death, and i dont wanna get all up into that shiat again https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

As for the AEM paperwork, I haven't found anything regarding directio of the rotors. Shitty assed brake kit....

I underatand that with today's anti-gassing technology in brake pads, that slots and cross drilling really aren't going to do anything. Given the choice though, I'd rather have a slotted, than a cross drilled.

In the first two pictures, they're both installed the same way, the caliper is just on the other side of the rotor, and both correctly. The black one with them going the other way is incorrect, as previously stated, the inside of the slant should hit the caliper first.

They clear my Black Racing Phantom's no problem.
I hear they also clear Rota wheels, and some Konig.

I was told that they clear all 16s.

from my understanding the big concern is NOT the slots of the rotor face so much as it is the direction of the vanes inside the rotor. i'd definitely email AEM before tearing up that setup at a track.
