si tranny has closer gears then the rest.
si would be your best bet to mate on any d series |

no way. Si tranny is by far the best. VC and VX suck ass because of there 3.25 final drive. DX tranny isnt bad.
Si 1 3.25 2 1.9 3 1.25 4 .909 5 .750 FD 4.25 DX 1 3.25 2 1.762 3 1.172 4 .909 5 .702 FD 4.058 CX/VX 1 3.25 2 1.762 3 1.066 4 .853 5 .702 FD 3.25 Modified by Downey at 1:32 AM 11/13/2003 |

Re: 92-95 Civic si tranny vs 92-95 civic cx,dx,vx tranny is it all the same? (VX)
si is def best.
dx isnt the worst, but still the si is alot better, even more than just the final drive, punch in the numbers here http://nonsense.netfirms.com/cgi-bin/speed.pl and you'll see the si/ex top speed is way lower than the dx, this is good, because it'll get up to that speed way faster |

Re: 92-95 Civic si tranny vs 92-95 civic cx,dx,vx tranny is it all the same? (VX)
The DX transmission is much longer than the EX, and the VX/CX is even worse. I did some calculations, at 7200 RPM here are your shift points with respective transmissions (using 195/50/15 tires, stock tire size):
CX/VX Transmission: 46 - 85 - 140 - 175 DX/LX Transmission: 37 - 68 - 102 - 132 EX/Si Transmission: 35 - 60 - 91 - 126 The gear ratios were taken from Mista Bone's tranny page. Emerika stated that the EX transmission shaved 7 tenths of a second off of his quarter mile time in his hatchback, you DEFINITELY want to get the EX transmission |
i've gotten a cx tranny put into my d16z6 and it feels like shit it feels like a cx motor. i hate it im thinking of getting a new z6 tranny or a Y8 whats better ?
