H22a JDM Vtec SOLENOID. USDM vs. JDM seals

http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...ZmQzMXk1NDE%3D

USDM (Left) Has no screen & looks smaller. JDM (right) Has a screen & looks to be larger.
I know after time theses seals can expaned after time, but what explains the screen in the JDM market???
Do they make an Aftermarket seal for the Solenoid? BIGGER
I figured I would post in the Prelude thread-my H22a is in my "Lude" Sorry if I posted in the wrong field.

<U>Why would they be different? Other than: Well thats JDM"</U>
So I do have the wrong seal&gt;??? Mine should have the sreen?

When I replaced that gasket on my JDM H22, the replacement from Honda had the screen. Yours should as well.

well yeah it was going to leak, look how thin the rubber cusion is... that won't seal the seam....

you either got an incorrectly packaged item or the wrong seal (part number alltogether)

jdm or usdm, all parts are essentially the same for gaskets and seals, no special jdm parts are required other than F20B Single runner manifold, everything can be found in the US and here in CANADA.

Well it doesn't leak as bad as it did. I put the new seal in due to the OLD seal leaking badly.
I contacted the Dealer Parts DEPT. He is going to have HONDA - Bench check the item. I just may have gotton an incorrectly packet park. WHO KNOWS???
* I showed Honda this post, IT HELP me out a mill cause I did not have the PICTURE or the (2) seals to show HONDA. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif Thanx for Honda-Tech https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif ..& Honda

OK guys,
Help me out here. I spoke to the dealer this morning and after a day of researching and haven the seal O.E.M. overnight. It was the same as the one I had already received just a few days ago!!! NO SCREEN
Where did you get your seal???
Do I need to have that screen??
Can you get me one if I do in-fact need that screen?
I was told by the dealer " I would have to order that seal from JAPAN" https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emhammer.gif
And is there some type of after-market seal??
Thanx for all the help and responses

Mine is the H22a JDM its stamped 11 91. So more than likely it was in the Late 92 prelude in Japan. What year was yours??/ It shouldn't matter, same solenoid . I am calling honda right now.
OK, I just spoke to my dealer!!!! That seal calls for years 93-94 prelude H22!!!
Well we had the seal ordered for a 95 Lude, ONLY OFF BY 1 #!!! DAMN
SO they ordered that seal&gt; I am sure it will have the screen!!
THANX A MILL FOR THAT PART #!!!!!&gt; CHK4TIX https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

I think there was a change in the filter because my buddy with a 93 VTEC took his solenoid off and swore up and down that he didnt see any type of screen.
