Factory Recommended Tire Pressure for 99-00 Civic Si

What is the factory recommended tire pressure for the 99-00 Civic Si? The factory recommended tire pressure is in the driver side door jam and in the owner's manual. I am replacing the 14-inch steelies with 15-inchers in my Civic EX and the Si has stock 15 inch wheels.

Look on side of tire for recommended psi.

I suggest that you get rid of the OEM tires before you even put the wheels on. Michelin XGT-V4s are absolute shit.

don't look for it on the tire, because that is the max pressure not the recommended one.

That is one of the great mysteries of the world. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

They combine the worst features of all tires - they have the shitty treadwear of a sticky tire, the dry grip of an all-season tire, the snow grip of a summer tire, and the price of an exotic tire. Why anyone would want to equip their car with such crap is beyond me . . .

You got that right. I thought for a V-rated tire they would be better than that. I have had H-rated tires stick better than that. Those tires suck!

I don't have the OEM Michelin tires. I have Bridgestone Potenza RE010s mounted on 15" ITR gunmetal wheels.

Do you mean that you're going to take the RE010s off of the ITR wheels and mount them on the Si wheels, or something? I'm lost here https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif

I'm getting 15" ITR wheels and they came with Bridgestone Potenza RE010s. Notice I said I am replacing the 14-inch steelies with 15-inchers, but I didn't specify which wheel. I said that the Si has stock 15 inch wheels, so the recommended tire pressure for the Si should most likely be used for my Civic EX with 15 inch wheels.

I also asked a similar question in the ITR forum about the recommended pressures for the ITR, and it is the same as that of the Civic Si. So it seems that the factory recommended tire pressure for all Civics and Integras w/ 15 inch wheels is 35 front/33 rear.

Re: Factory Recommended Tire Pressure for 99-00 Civic Si (EricUSC)

Oh, I understand now. I automatically assumed you were using Si wheels.

Just keep in mind that not all tires are the same. I've personally never used the exact same pressures in any two different tires I've had.

The best way to determine the proper pressure for your tires is by measuring the temperatures all the way across with a pyrometer after you've driven on them for a bit. This may sound a bit anal or excessive . . . but what can I say, I'm an autocrosser, and I'm obsessed with tire pressures. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif
