Anyone with a Helms manual or such, feel free to take a stab at this one - I'm looking for the correct torque for the valve cover bolts on a D16Y8 - thanks.

Re: Torque specs - D16Y8 (draco067)
I wouldnt expect to many responses.
I dont do shitty work but this is just one of those things where you apply the hondabond and just tighten the bolts down. The valve cover isnt under alot of stress and the compartment isnt pressurized so the cover doesnt have to be torqued down. |

D16Y8's don't have torque... https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

Re: Torque specs - D16Y8 (BauleyCivic)
Just turn with your wrist and hold your wrench as close to the head as possible. Just make it snug. I broke 2 of my bolts and my cover still doesn't leak https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |

Re: Torque specs - D16Y8 (GreenD16)
My Helm manual states 7 lb-ft. Just make sure you use a 3/8" torque wrench when tightening the bolts. I snapped mine with a 1/2" torque wrench.
