what signals does the ecu need to pulse ground to injectors?
 

hey guys pm6 ecu lloks at what in order to pulse?and also does anyone know how much it pulses?

calculates open time depending on engine speed and piston location from looking at the sensors in the distributor. then filters that through its multipliers of coolant/air temp, etc.. to change pulse width.

When you ask "does anyone know how much it pulses?", are you really wanting to know about Pulse Width, as the number of times an injector pulses are dicated by RPM, but its for HOW LONG they stay open, that determines the amount of fuel delivered (along with fuel pressure).

And when you ask "So it must sense something at all those sensors?" are you looking for something like: The TDC sensor inside the distributor pulses when the piston in cylinder #1 is at TDC.

yeah something like that.im trying to figure out why my injectors arent pulsing.i have power going to all the injectors.the motor cranks and tries to start but the injectors will not pulse.im gonna try to see if the ground side gets anything while cranking tonight and go from there.the ecu is good and so is the main relay.

ok guys i got it.a damn wire was cracked on the wire harness going to the temp sensor.can you believe that shit! http://rely.net/~htimages/smile/emsmile.gif
