Ok, guys the point has been raised that some of the competitors for Orlando may not be 100% up to speed on the rules for Honda Day.
PLEASE READ and be aware of all rules. Here are links to the various class rules: SFWD RULES CLICK HERE ALL MOTOR RULES CLICK HERE ALL OTHER CLASSES EXCEPT SFWD AND ALL MOTOR CLICK HERE Please email all enquiries to OGSTECH@GMAIL.COM |

Re: Honda Day Orlando Sept 21/22/ 2013 RULE REMINDER
sooo is OGS enforcing rules like suits and licensing? Or is the track because i doubt that track enforces those details, nothing like etown.

Re: Honda Day Orlando Sept 21/22/ 2013 RULE REMINDER
yea I don't think any Florida track's enforce rules like they do up north.

I can't answer that question specifically, but I will look into it and see what I can come up with.

Safety is always enforced by the track and class rules enforced by OGS tech. I don't get the what the issue is with having the proper safety equipment and License? Marc P |
Re: Honda Day Orlando Sept 21/22/ 2013 RULE REMINDER
Because I want to race at Honda Day, but certainly not bad enough to spend 1200 on a suit and a piece of paper when the 8-9 other events i support don't badger for stuff that makes absolutely no sense. thats the "issue" plain and simple.
Im aware that some places enforce stuff and some don't so I make due. If i had a "title sponsor" it wouldn't be an issue but for the privateer guy, its a shame. And its the NHRA that wins everytime. EVERYTIME. |

EVERYTIME. Suit is $800 and you can never put a price on safety, If you don't want to run the suit then switch to a non ethanol Fuel. Plus the piece of paper is also insurance at the track and many other benefits that you can use to your advantage. I spent $300 dollars to get my NHRA License and have already saved that in discounts by vendors because I have that "piece of paper". Again I don't know what the issue is with following the rules, if you want to race bad enough you will do what it takes to race. Also the other events/series you race should enforce those rules! Nobody is checking your suit for the other classes. Just SFWD and ALLMOTOR.

Orlando its not an nhra sanctioned track so I don't see the reason to enforce the license... I really don't care 1 bc I got mines and 2 bc I don't know if im gonna be spending over 2k taking me my car and my crew to the event when the payout its 1k its really hard when u don't got sponsors to make it out there just to try to not breake even.... anyways hope everybody its on point with the rules and hope to see a good amount of cars from the northeast make the trip so competition its good..

Trap especially on a class that take a 75k+ operation to be competitive SUCKSSSSS
What you think CLM Steve's setup costs ? What you think Marc/Keith from GP1 setup cost ? What you think EGGY Racing setup costs ? All 3 of those cars are competetive, 1 has won, 1 just made it to the semi finals. It takes big dollars if you want to run deep into the 8's. But not to be competitive if you can cut a light and drive and make your setup work. |

Well I'm not talking about how much cost to put a set up together I'm talking about run a complete season And regardless of the fact that u can put a sfwd together with around 15k 1k it's a too small payout for the biggest class on the biggest event... I don't mind going here in my home state bc I go to the track regardless of what they pay me... But for me to load up my truck spend 1k on diesel n tools pluss hotel plus close my shop for 3-5 days make no sense unless the payout it's worth taking the risk... That's all
