Throw-out bearing in need of greasing....

My car recently started to make a chirping noise that goes away when the clutch pedal is depressed. I've come to realize that its the thowout bearing in the clutch assembly. My question for you guys is, what should I use to grease this? What things do I need to look out for when opening up the clutch assembly? Roughly, how long should this take myself and one other person? I've got the Helms so guide me, but personal experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you just get a clutch installed?

no point to grease it. just get a new one. you're gonna have to remove the tranny.

Yeah, but I believe the Honda warranty is now expired. Instead of paying a shit load to have them do it I'm just gonna do it myself.

High Temp wheel bearing grease works good http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmile.gif

Even if he does put in a new one, the new one would still need to be greased too. Either way, a good greasing is called for. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmilep.gif

WHAT-throwout bearings are not greased in the field. They are either good or need replaced. We are talking about the bearing-not the fork or linkage here.
As was asked-did you just replace the clutch and not the bearing If so that iis your problem. You will have to take the tranny out to fix this. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/h-emblem4.gif

greasing the throw out bearing is just a temporary solution. you can however grease a new one before putting it in.

but either way, a new one is in order.

After you change it out, something to keep in mind: You can prevent wear on the throwout bearing if you don't leave the clutch pedal pushed down while you're waiting for long lights, etc.

Like I said, I did just get the clutch replaced but I bet it is the same bearing. If it's making the noise then most likely it needs to be replaced, is that what you guys are saying? Does anyone have the part number by any chance? Thanks a lot for your replies, but how difficult is it to remove the tranny?
