Transmission/Clutch Problems!!! Help!
So last night when driving home everything is fine. When I stopped at the light all of the sudden I was unable to get into any gear. I posted up for a bit and turned off the motor and noticed that I was easily able to shift into any gear. After shifting around with the motor off for a bit I was able to shift into 2nd and 4th while running and made it home.. But regardless it's super tuff and and grinds slightly when attempting to get into any gear while running.. Any thoughts what this could be. I was going to troubleshoot with the basics like the trans oil etc first. But does anyone know what this might be????

check the master and slave cylinders. i'd put my money on it being the master though.

Re: Transmission/Clutch Problems!!! Help!
Would it matter if it's a cable transmission vs a hydro. I have cable but not really sure what exact model.

Re: Transmission/Clutch Problems!!! Help!
Sounds like broken clutch springs, you are going to have to pull the transmission. 94

This does still means replacement of the clutch, which does still means pulling the tranny. |

Unworn spring recess: http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/clutch/pres-spring-1.jpg Worn spring recess: http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/clutch/fly-spring-1.jpg The jerkier, bouncier, and rougher you are on the clutch, the faster the springs wear through their housings. Way back, you mentioned checking the fluid level. Have you done this yet? |

In case nobody else responds, I thought you might like pictures of the jumping-spring problem.
