vtec pressure switch
ive recently purchased a list of parts for my B20B/B16A ej8, and among the goodies is a chipped p28 i ordered from Phaerable.net. included with the ecu was a single sheet of literature. one line on this sheet states that i am required to bypass the vtec pressure switch on all jdm motors. this sheet also referred me to the tech section on their website for support on the matter. the tech support on their site is helpful, but i wanted to get some opinions on the matter. im told that this can be bypassed at the ecu or in the harness. i hit the search bar and came up short. if anyone who has performed this on their own car, or for someone else give me any advice or even provide a picture i would appreciate it.

Re: vtec pressure switch
not sure why they wouldn't have disabled it in with the chip, I had a chip from them in a P28 running a JDM obd1 b16 which has the pressure switch and I didn't have to do anything special , I am pretty sure phearable.net is mtber on here try sending him a PM for clarification, he's a good guy

Re: vtec pressure switch
im unclear on why bypassing it works any better then unplugging it.

Re: vtec pressure switch
Here you go...
one wire from the clip should be the VTEC pressure switch. the other wire should be the VTEC solenoid. solder both together. Then run wire from VTEC solenoid to where you soldered and solder that mofo on there too and voila! http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/6196/photo90j.jpg |

Thank you sir

Re: vtec pressure switch
What if I didn't plug it in?

Re: vtec pressure switch
Pretty sure you'd get a code. The wires have to be connected to make the ecu think its plugged in. I'm also curious to why its not just disabled
