Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
Which one do ya'll recommend? I heard victor is more ofr the mid range, and performer for top end. And not to mention the fact its $100 cheaper.
Which one is preferred and why? |
Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
I run a fully ported and polished victor x from Renown Performance. How ever i would like to see the performer x and what it can do. Heck contact Renown and have them port one for you.
Also your gonna wanna share your set up so we can accurately suggest a quality performing manifold for you. |
Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
Well I havent put a solid setup together, but its gonna be Boosted, +/- 300 WHP.

Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
For 300 just use a stock manifold.
|
Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
Anything less than 500whp and its a waste !!! Trust me i know !! Stock will be more than sufficient for up 450 whp .

Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
Longer runners=lower rpm power increase
Larger Plenum=higer rpm power increase If your only revving to stock or 8,200 rpm, go with the Performer X = Power-band 4500-8200 "The Performer X intake manifolds for Acura and Honda's are engineered for street/strip applications where peak torque and horsepower gains are realized between 4500-8200 RPM. The larger-than-stock plenum volume and 9" runner length are tuned for producing peak power at high RPM." If your going to be revving to 10,000 rpm go with the Victor X = Power-band 7000-10,000 "Optimized for maximum power from 7,000 to 10,000 RPM, the Victor X manifold is designed for turbo and all-motor applications. Engineered for high performance, this manifold has four additional bosses for nitrous or added fuel injectors" This is regardless of if your turbo or N/A that's what range they were designed for. Hope this clears up some confusion about the difference in these two manifolds. |
Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
I have the JG Eddlebrock intake mani on my turbo application. Does anyone know if this is the Vector X or Performer X?
|
Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
It is the victor x.
|
Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
Op aftermarket manifold will increase over stock, perform will be suitable for stock redline and the power your looking for. Victor is for larger turbo and power goals

Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
Ok thanks everyone, these manifolds cost like $300-400. How much gain will i get over stock AVG? Are we talking like minimal gains due to 300whp or
|
Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
Under 500hp = skunk2, AEBS, stock
Over 500hp = victorX, Magnus, golden eagle Just my $.02 |
Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
300whp is 300whp. if might give you a little more low end and mid range power but stock will work fine for 300

Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
Ok thanks ;)

Re: Edelbrock Performer x VS Victor x
Is there someone who knows victor x manifold capacity ? I want to compare it with skunk2 ultra street manifold which is 1.8 liter and if you use spacer it will be 2.3 liter.
