Accord injectors not firing. Please help.
A little history, 97 accord ex 175000 miles. Timing belt broke and bent the valves in cylinder 4. Got new valves put in head, reinstalled head, new timing and balance shaft belts and now the injectors will not fire. I have 145-150 compression across all cylinders, good spark to all plugs, have triple checked timing and valve adjustments. Question is, is there a sneaky ground wire I could have missed when I hooked everything up? I have spent all day looking to no avail. Any help appreciated.

There's always the ground on the drivers side of the intake mani by the vacuum bungs that alot of people miss.

Most likely you forgot the ground @dglassmyer is talking about. The thing is when I had that unhooked I got no spark...

Re: Accord injectors not firing. Please help.
If it was the main G101 engine harness ground, as mentioned above, there would be no spark ether.
Make sure that the resistor box and injector connectors are plugged in tight and they are clean of debris. Also that they are getting battery voltage. |
Re: Accord injectors not firing. Please help.
How did you confirm the injectors aren't operating?

Re: Accord injectors not firing. Please help.
I pulled them fuel rail and watched nothing come out as engine was cranked. The problem was solved though, it was the ground that connects to the manifold. Thanks for the very helpful information

Re: Accord injectors not firing. Please help.
That's odd that you had spark to the cylinders in that case.
Oh well, Good to know that you were able to get the issue fixed with the info that you received. |
