Rack & Pinion Power Steering Leak
i know there are several threads on this subject but none really answering my questions
i have a 1992 EX Sedan manual transmission and my rack & pinion on the passenger side tie rod is leaking ps fluid ridiculously  my questions are: 1.if i remove all of the PS will this fix this too? 2.how safe and/or reliable is my rack & Pinion with that bad seal with no PS? and i never had this problem until i lowered my car significantly from stock height 3.could that have anything to do with this leak or is that just completely a coincidence? 4.should i raise it back up and can raising it back up fix this problem as well? i noticed a huge change in angle of the tie rod went from this -> / to this -> \ just curious any help is greatly appreciated =) i also have pictures if they are needed and what not |
Re: Rack & Pinion Power Steering Leak
removing your p/s will not fix the problem, as you need fluid for the gears. raising it back up will not fix the problem either, as the seal is gone.
