I heard there is NEW NSX coming
maybe few yrs later.... but what do you guys think?? whould you guys get that car?? |

there is no doubt. it looks awesome. but i think it will depend on performance. will the hybrid power plant be too heavy and lacking grunt?
cant wait to see what Jeremy Clarkson and the rest of the top gear staff have to say about it. |

I'd rock it, but I hope the final version looks more like an NSX than a cross between and Audi R8 and a Romulan War Bird

honestly. it has some features im not fond of. the rear and front fascias are luxurious and whatnot but lack the sporty exterior features youd get with other exotics. Granted acura prides itself in its beings being more suttle than outright (as with the commercials of the new TL) but for a performance vehicle, not impressed. yeah id get it :P

Wonder if the final version will have a few less hard edges & angles? I think there's a lot of potential there, if they make it more sophisticated and less "tech" looking.

no i would not buy one. on topic, i wouldn't buy an '02+ or whatever fixed headlight NSX either, i dont care how many "R"s are on it.
and when was the NSX ever "the pinnacle of performance"? |

Without some kind of wing/spoiler, it just looks soooo... naked
not feeling the rims either but thats just personal opinions.. none the less, looks promising.. wondering how that 2 engine setup thing is gonna work out. |

My biggest gripe is the hybrid part of it. Ok let's be real here you buy a supercar for performance and styling, not for gas mileage. The hybrid part of it just makes it seem so dull. The HSV idea was much better IMO.

You guys have to get the notion out of your heads that all hybrids are and always going to be econoboxes like the Prius. The Prius is a piece of crap compared to the way Honda does hybrids. The electric motor in a Honda hybrid acts more like an electric supercharger, unlike the half gasoline half electric car that the Prius is laid out to be.
This means that the new NSX is going to have and unbelievable amount of low end torque. The CRZ was a test of this technology, and it works well. The only thing that the CRZ didn't have working for it that the NSX will, is that the NSX is going to have a much more powerful engine and (I believe) two powerful electric motors. Honda doesn't do things half assed like Toyota does especially with their flag ship car. It's gonna be awesome. |

like i said then i read the article on this pos, i wouldnt trade my civic for this, the first thing that had me outraged is the hybrid like stated above you dont make your super car a hybrid....this car was ment for performance not fuel economy. 2nd i read that its going to be automatic....so like the gtr its a car that requires no skill to drive, you get in and go, wheres the fun in this? i think they killed another great car here....first the gtr now the nsx.....hope toyota doesnt bring back the supra :p

As an nsx owner I wouldnt buy this new nsx. My main reason is it not Japanese made. Our quality control standards and theirs are totally different. Too me I would no feel confident in the reliability of it.
