RSX Hood latch problem

My wife's hood latch on her rsx broke. We couldn't open the hood so I took it to a shop. They worked on opening the hood for like 2 to 3 hours and they finally got it open. They said the latch was broken and they said they could weld it back. They did and charged $40 bucks. It works like a charm now but now the real problem is that the keyless entry wont arm. Im guessing the sensor on the latch is bad now because of it. Is there a way I can fix it? or do I have to replace the whole latch. The connector cant just go back after rewelding the latch yes?

Take it back to the shop and explain the problem, have them fix it.

I'm not going to answer this as it relates to security and potentially theft. :|

I'm just asking how to fix it I'm not asking how to pop the hood or anything. If I wanted to know how to break open the hood for theft anyone could just study the damn repair manual. Is there a way to fix it or bypass the sensor for the keyless to work? Or is it easier to just replace the whole thing? Thats all im asking

Stupid question but did you make sure it was plugged in? Also did you try to reset the alarm?

I did make sure it was plugged. How do you resett the alarm? I disconnected the battery then had to redo the radio code.

I'm still at work and will dig around but there is a reset button and procedure to reset the key fobs. I had to do it to reset my new key fob. I will search for it when I get home.
