ef rear disc brake swap
need help
am planing on doing a rear disc brake conversion on my civic but wont to see if i can use a 91 ex proportioning valve i also got the ex setup for big brake |
Re: ef rear disc brake swap
Check for the "4040" stamp on the prop valve
|
Re: ef rear disc brake swap
I got both the 4040 and the 3540 but I wanna keep my booster and run the 1516 master clyinder
|
Re: ef rear disc brake swap
need to find an EX mc if you want to keep your booster.
|
Re: ef rear disc brake swap
Well I got two a 91 ex mc and 90 si mc so it don't matter if I use the 3540 valve
|
Re: ef rear disc brake swap
you can use the 3540 if you don't want to install the 4040

Re: ef rear disc brake swap
Doesn't the 3540 valve shoot a bit less fluid then the 4040. Why will waste the rear pads faster
|
Re: ef rear disc brake swap
why would the 3540 wear pads faster? it's sending less pressure to the rears, so technically wouldn't the rears last longer? and the car would be more front biased?

Re: ef rear disc brake swap
if I use the 4040 will it lock up my brakes
|
Re: ef rear disc brake swap
Yes.
|
Re: ef rear disc brake swap
So the best way to go is the 3540
Can I use my stock camber arm? |
Re: ef rear disc brake swap
You will only use the trailing arm itself, all the arms will need to be from your civic.
