Will a set of 205/70/15 work on factory wheels for my 97 accord SE?

it would and wouldnt the 70 series be too tall? why dont you go with some 205 60 15?

The 70 are too tall. Get 205 60 15 so your speedo shows the correct speed, if you put 195 60 15 it will be off by a little.

70 is not my taste. 60 would be more like it.

205/55/15 or 205/60/15 work quite nicely

The factory alloys on the 97 SE come with 185/65 R15 tires. Wouldn't 205mm tires be too wide for those wheels?

205 should be alright for it.
