Battery won't stay charged , alternator is good also. 00' civic si

Ima try and make it as clear as I can the car is a 2000 Honda civic Si , basically stock, I got the battery checked and it was bad so I put a new one in and it turned right now it drove good and started good for about two hours, before that I had took the alternator off just to make sure it wasn't bad and I went to autozone got it checked and it was good, so I put it back on yes the belt is tight, and I then replaced the battery and it worked fine for the rest of the night, now it won't stay on without me revving up the motor, if it's at idle it will be fine but as soon as I press the brake pedal it'll turn off same goes if I try turning on corner lights or anything. So what I need to know is what can I check next? Grounds? Fuses? Any in specific? Any help will be appreciated. It also threw about 7 codes which are the following; p1298- Electric Load Dectector (ELD)Circut High Input. P0135-heater condition (heated oxygen sensor bank sensor 1&2) P0500-VSS circuit malfunction . P0300-random cylinder misfire. P0304-cylinder number 4 misfire detected.

My inital thought was the fuse also as Ron stated. If it's blown, it will not charge as the circuit is open.

Do you have a volt meter (or can you borrow one)? If so, get the reading off the alternator while the engine's running. I know it just got checked, but it'll give us more info to go with.

Since it seems to get better when you rev the motor, I'd say it's not the battery. However, I'd agree with Gi'Joe that it's probably a wiring issue. Try checking connections at the alternator, and clean the grounds.

Also, check cables going to the battery leads. I've had loose ones before that seemed to go on tight, only to find I could slip them off with a little wiggling.

Are you running any extra stereo equipment or other electrical goodies?

Happened to me a couple weeks ago, replaced the battery, took the alternator out and got it tested, but it still kept draining my battery. Ended up being my battery cable from the positive terminal was worn and no good.
