1996 Civic Coupe EX, D16Y8 with nearly 220k miles.
code definitions:
P0301 No. 1 Cylinder Misfire
P0302 No. 2 Cylinder Misfire
P1300 Random Misfire

~~EDIT~~ DRY COMPRESSION TEST- 1: 142psi 2: 20psi 3: 20psi 4: 138psi

i've tried brand new plugs, brand new wires, newer cap and rotor from my other ek, this stuff called seafoam that you dump into your gas tank which is supposed to clean your injectors and all that crap, premium gas.

symptoms: hard to start, gets pretty hot after running, it's been leaking oil for a while now i put a quart in every few days, rough/low idle, dies every once in awhile especially when taken out of a higher gear unless i give it some gas, sounds like it's missing, have to give it a lot of gas to get it going from 1st gear, trouble going up hills, trouble accelerating...

anything helps, thanks!

does it smoke?

Could be a headgasket. Also is your ignition & mechanical timing good?

i only tried Seafoam through my gas tank. perhaps i should also try it by mixing it with my oil?

edit: or maybe a vacuum line, from the brake booster?

Lots of blue smoke leads me to say pistons rings need to be replaced.

When you check the timing, make you sure you the mechanical timing first, than set ignition timing.

Possibly. Do cylinder leak down tests to verify or refute.
