Accord 2007 lock button remote key malfunction - Help.

^. Anyone have any ideas what might be to problem? It was working perfectly fine the a few days ago and now only the lock button on the remote key is not working.

The battery should not be the problem since the red light blinks fine when I press the lock button and I can lock the door just fine manually (by pushing down the, using the master switch next to the window switch or inserting my car key - The driver side central locking switch is working fine). I also had a spare remote key that I had not used in years but the same problem still persists.

I called the honda dealer to see if he might be able to help but he said he has no idea and I could have the car go on a diagnosis for $98 (not including getting it fixed). I have a feeling it is just a minor problem and would be glad if I can save that money instead. Thanks for your time and input.

Best option is just to go to the dealer.

This doesn't sound easy to diagnose.

Oh my gosh, I have the same problem. I have a 2007 Honda Accord and my lock button on the key does not work. It hasn't worked in a few weeks now and I just decided to search online to find out what the problem is. The other buttons work but when I go to use the lock button, the doors lock but NOT the driver side door. I have to manually push the driver side door lock down and then I activate the alarm.

Grandm, have you found out what the problem is yet? I don't want to go to the dealer either.

Thank you.
