Turn signals light up but don't blink?
I did some reading but can't find any concrete information.
My left front headlight signal does not blink. I was aware of this yesterday when my dash showed my left turn signal blinking really fast. So now my side marker and rear lights blink really fast. I thought it was a dead bulb. However, when I turn on my headlights my left turn signal bulb lights up fine, just doesn't blink. Anyone know what I need to check? I read it may be a bulb going out but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance. |

I replace light bulbs on cars all the time at work, sounds to me like you need a new bulb. It's a dual filament bulb, one lights up with the turn, the other lights up when your parking lights are on. The filament could be hanging down onto the other filament, creating a connection. Replace the bulb.

Bulb sounds probable, but if its not I would be pointing the finger at the column switch

Yeah 1157, or 1157N/A (Natural Amber) depending on your preference

As for the "3457 bulb" post, it might be 3157. 1157 and 3157 are essentially the same bulb, just the connector is different, and if you can't tell the difference when you're going to buy the bulb, you shouldn't be installing a lightbulb. |
