Civic shifts hard
I have a 1994 Civic with a B20b swap. Sometimes the car gets really hard to shift and when it is in gear it seems as if the clutch is not fully pressed in when it really is. The clutch does not slip though. Would this be a clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder issue? Thanks in advance.

Re: Civic shifts hard
Check both cylinders for any leaks, and also check the shift linkage as well, it may be loose or worn. Check the obvious too, the tranny fluid.

Re: Civic shifts hard
clutch master cylinder behind the clutch pedal is like damp with some gooey stuff but not like dripping.

Re: Civic shifts hard
No. But I don't know if that is necessarily the cause of the problem. Is it?

Re: Civic shifts hard
Leaking doesn't necessarily have to be dripping.

Re: Civic shifts hard
Also. Check the shifter bushings & linkage.
