Bleed your lines several times to get all the air out then come back with an update.

Did you use brake caliper grease on the back of the pad when you installed them?

It's a yes or no question. You either did or did not. If you did not, which you probably didn't, that would most likely be the cause of the "hissing".

My wife's TL3.2 is doing the exact same thing. Its not the rear brakes. It sounds more like someone is letting the air out of a tire - and its coming from under the steering column.

Did you bleed the lines after the fact?
Make sure you installed everything properly.

2+ year old thread...for a question that Google can answer. Don't do that. Rear of the pads, and on the caliper sliders.
