AutoZone Battery(Duralast Gold) WON'T FIT, terminal wires dont match up!! What to do?
 

Notice the positive terminals doesn't match up with the autozone battery. batts positive side is on the left and the stock wiring is to the right. I dont want to crisscross the wires and also the wires wont reach...

They look like they should match according to the pics. The Duralast Gold pic (specifically the view labeled "top") just is upside down compared to the pics of the batteries in the cars.

If the battery is wrong, bring it back to Autozone and get a 51 instead of a 51R. The difference is the terminals are swapped.

LMAO!!! Sorry I didn't look at this before I did the final post. Im at work and had to do it quick. But I think my actual battery is opposite from this picture. I'll go home and let you guys see what i am talking about!!

its a 51r, ive installed plenty of these into hondas. remove cables remove battery i dont see how you cant get the battery back in to fit right

There should be a part number on top of the battery since it's a Duralast.

The one in the photo is a DLG-51R. If your terminals are switched then you need a DLG-51.

51 and 51R are the case sizes btw. If you call up Walmart or wherever else you'll still be looking for that type of battery. Most batteries say their case size on the battery itself. It's usually near the amperage ratings.

51 is the "case size" the R is reverse posts, the batt. in the pix is the correct batt. for the car, if the posts do not match up on the batt. you have it is not a 51R it is a 51.
