92 Integra seatbelt warranty issue... bulletin problem
 

I went to acura today and they said they will not fix my power seatbelts because the warranty only covers the belts and retractors and buckles. Am I missing something here? isn't the power motor the retractor? I need any other information cause I told them about the bulletin that Acura put out in 92 and they said they want to see all the information I have on this lifetime warranty tomorrow and they'll do it if I can prove they have to. so please any info you guys can share would be great.

The way it was explained to me by my shop foreman (honda dealer here in FL) He said it was only for the seat belt itself. I guess the retractor is where the shoulder belt goes into the seat - not the actual motor.

What problems are you having? Mine was creating a parasitic draw and draining my battery. So I took out my motor and computer, they work fine manually.

will i own a 1992 acura warranties book and it says on page 23 seat belt limited warranty
warranty coverage "Acura will repair or replace, at its option, any Acura seat belt component that fails to function properly during normal use. this includes all parts and labor charges

thanks for the info and its odd cause many people have told me that they went to the dealer and they fixed it for free no problems.

but the problem I am having is the seat belts won't go back to their driving positions. they will go forward but when I close the doors they will not slide back

Tell them that you are gonna call acura and file a complaint. The motors ARE under warranty, i just went for mine a couple weeks ago cuz the fuse kept blowing for the passenger side whenever it hit load. Theyll just tell you they have to do a test first to make sure its not a short somewhere which is 140 bucks that you DONT have to pay if its the seatbelt motor malfunctioning.
