Dry out a flooded car?

So I just got a call from my wife. Turns out she left all four windows all the way down and it poured while she was working. Puddles on the seats and the floor etc. And ofcourse I get to clean it all up now.

So... whats the best way to clean this up and get it nice and dry so it won't mold and stink forever?

Rip out all the interior
Rip out the carpet
Rip out trunk lining
Clean carpet (steam clean/shampoo/mold & mildew killer)
Clean seats (the yellow Recaro cleaning thread with Woolite probably would work)
Dry out interior

Reassemble

Yeah, like others have said, unless you take out ALL of the interior, you WILL have mold/mildew.

Take everything out and wash it, and then properly dry it.

Sounds like a two person job to me...

Plus cleaning it would really drive home that whole "remember to roll the windows up" idea.

(Before your wife gets pissed at a guy saying this, I'm a girl too and I'd be out there ripping the interior out myself and hoping someone would be nice enough to help me.)

You know, that sounds like a fine idea.
