2008 Honda Civic Compressor out
 

HELP !!! My 2008 Civic A/c not working. When I turn on AC the dash lights come on. The Fan comes on but not the compressor. I have checked the fuses. Pressure on Low side was 120 psi. Is the compressor out or is there a control panel problem.

Are you out of your 3 year 36k bumper to bumper I would just take it in to the dealer and have it checked. If you are out of your bumper to bumper they might repair it as a good will fix since the car is still so new

Hi. Check A/C thermo switch first. It seems you A/C compressor is not engaging even though A/C system command to engage.
There will be 3 pin wire at right beside Alternator. unplug and connect multimeter(use ohm scale for continuity) on outer pins.If there is continuity, your thermo switch is ok.
Then you need field coil assembly. You need to remove A/C compressor to replace(not easy if you are not tech). It is kinda common problem for 2006-08 civic.

I have this same issue - just replace the AC compressor relay in the engine fuse box. Buy it fromthe dealer ($20) but it has to be the exact same one. Dont let them sell you one that jsut looks like it. It wont work.

I have had to do this 4 times on my 2006.
