Crank pulley removal tricks

Timing belt change in a CR-V with B20Z: Does anyone know how to remove the crank pulley without Hondas $80.00 hex tool? (Not the spanner tool used on the early D15's)
Thanks!

You really should use the tool (or make one of your own if you have access to a welder). I believe Amazon has one for around $20.

I've never had to use any tool other than an impact gun, socket, extension, hammer and prybar for crank pulleys.

$25, but worth it. You'll also need a couple of big breaker bars
