Crankshaft bolt removal?

Hey folks
I have a 96 Accord Aerodeck Auto which needs the water pump replaced.
Have managed to get as far as trying to remove the flywheel but am unable to budge the bolt!

We have a tool to hold the flywheel and have tried using large bars on the end of the socket but can't move the bolt. Any ideas?

We have been trying to turn the bolt Anti clockwise.... is this correct?

thanks

Counter clockwise is the direction to remove bolt, you are correct. I have heard of people have luck removing bolt by heating it up w/ propane torch, ect, then hitting it w/ a impact gun. Good luck to you.

Still haven't had issues using my big impact. You can always search the starter trick

And my nice impact gun has not failed on me yet when it comes to a Honda Crank Pulley bolt(Knock on Wood).

I definitely would not use this.

Screw driver in the flywheel but you seem to have that covered, Large as you can breaker bar with an extension held up with jackstand/wood/whatever to not bend the extension as you turn it. Tighten it then try untighten. Always works after few min. Bounce, Jump. Hang on the bar listening to some sort of dance music. Just get it down and watch out if your under it when it goes.

On the F and H engines this will tighten the bolt, not loosen it.
I used a jack stand under the extension as my fat ~230lb ass tried breaking the bolt free by diving board bouncing on it.
