Make sure the welds on your front end (rad support area) are still intact maybe? I say this because my friend bought a 96' coupe that was in an accident and the same thing happened to him. After closer inspection We realized the welds for the rad support were broken, resulting in his front end (hood, bumper grille) literally bouncing.

Not sure if this is the kind of bouncing you are referring to though.

Re: why would a front end bounce??

No, it's not the alignment. You have several completely failed bushings, dampers, motor mounts, very loose very important bolts, possibly all of the above. Or possibly as VI said some structural damage... a thorough visual inspection will tell all. If you don't know what to look for, find someone local who does. The chassis is flexing under power, but there are too many parts that move when that happens to narrow it down without some excellent pictures and more info. Don't spend any more money unless it's to get someone to inspect the car.

Check the motor mounts.
Are you runing torque mounts?

x2 on checking your motor mounts

Re: why would a front end bounce??

check the mounts by holding the e brake then try to go foward and see if the motor wants to jump then try it in reverse if it moves a lot you need new mounts

Re: why would a front end bounce??

im useing stock motor mounts and i took it out to get it looked at the guy gave me this list of parts that need replaced both left and right tie rod ends and upper front right ball joints. He also said that the right said controll arm was lose. And i would use my E break but it just stoped working not to long ago...

?? Seriously? Okay. Rad supports=radiator support.

Replace the parts on the list you were given.

Maybe blown out front shocks? Take off wheel, and check if you can see fluid running down the sides of them.

Re: why would a front end bounce??

When you say bounce do you mean:
1) The kind of bounce you get when your shocks are blown and the car keeps bobbing up and down. Or going over a bump and the car keeps bouncing?

2) Or do you mean the kind of bounce you get when you let out the clutch but dont give the car enough gas and it makes the car "bounce/bog/shake"?

Re: why would a front end bounce??

did the guy that checked it out drive it? or did he just guess parts to replace? ball joints, tie rods, motor mounts, are not going to fix it, those would make more of a knock/bump and less of a bounce. like mavvrik said in 2), sound like ur new to driving a car with a clutch, since what ur describing sound like what happened to me when i was learning

I second that. I had bouncing when i fist started driving stick.

But you gotta give us more information on what kind of "bounce" your experiencing. Its really hard to diagnose sounds over the web because everyone has a different way of explaining a noise they hear with their car.

Gotta tell us if its a clutch kinda bounce or the a literal bounce like you get when you have blown shocks and the car continues to "bounce" when you rapidly push the front end down in park

Ok say im at a stop sign i let up off the clutch and start to give it gas to take off and the whole front end will start to shake or bounce up and down hard but after i get past like 5 mph it stops.... it only does it when you go forward as well when in R it drives fine... the struts seem to be pritty strong.. i have also noticed that the inside of my tires are now bold and they are like a month old...

its a new clutch just put it in and its like your hitting a bunch of small speed bumpes till you get up to speed it broke my turn single so i had to replace them because it fell out

it has nothing to do with my driving i drive other 5/4 speed cars with no problem once so ever

Re: why would a front end bounce??

Bald tires and bouncing indicate you have a serious front end problem. Check all the bushings/balljoints-every part of the front end and get an alignment done. My wife's bounces on the drivers side and it's the tie-rods that need to be replaced. Considering you claim you've replaced these parts then it becomes less obvious what the problem is.
