sealant for head gasket

So this comming weekend I am hoping to get the cylinder head back onto my civic. What are your thoughts about the spray sealants that are out there.. I have had some people say I should use some of the copper spray stuff.

if the head isnt being resurfaced, or if it is resurfaced and its not to smooth of a finish, or if you just want to many people use copper spray on headgaskets, it shouldnt hurt anything to use it so go for it, are you having trouble with blown headgasket, cause if you are you will want to have the head resurfaced, most machine shops should be able to resurface it for you for about 30$, if you dont have it done you take the chance of the head being slightly warped and you could still have a leak

don't do it, unless you want to do another headgasket after it starts to leak...

dont do it. just get it resurface for 60 and use the gasket. stop cutting corners unless you want to take your heads apart again.

well when i replaced my headgasket on my d15 a year ago i was a cheap f*** with no money and had a spare y8 headgasket laying around. the block was warped, the head was warped but i replaced the gasket and put it back together anyway. new water pump, thermostat and radiator and its running fine ever since.
