If you don't have any performance problems, check the O2 sensor.

Re: Code 43 on 95 Civic

No need for all caps.

Have you cleared the ECU to see whether the code returns?

TURN OFF THE ALL CAPS ON YOUR KEYBOARD.

The SRS light blinks an SRS code with the service connector jumped when there is an airbag circuit problem.

Now drive the car to see whether code 43 returns.

With the service connector jumped, are you saying the CEL is blinking a new code or that the SRS light is blinking?

Re: Code 43 on 95 Civic

no the srs light is blinking all the time no pauses or anything could it be a faulty ecu

Only with the service connector jumped, right? If you unjump the connector, does the SRS light just remain on steady.

Re: Code 43 on 95 Civic

If CEL code 43 does not return, then you are good to go.

For the SRS light, did someone remove an airbag?

Re: Code 43 on 95 Civic

Re: Code 43 on 95 Civic

The SRS blinks on them. Mine does at least. And it goes directly back off... And if you say the car is still messing up WTF do you mean???

Re: Code 43 on 95 Civic

ok my srs light blinks and dont stop when i jumped the service connector to check my ecu. and my car still turns off by itself everytime i press the gas pedal and when is release it shuts off so i need to press the gas pedal all the time even to brake or it will turn off and i cant floor it once in a while cuz it wont rev so i need to press the gas little by little until i cross the 1200rpm range but that happens once in a while

How old are the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor? Have you checked the mechanical and ignition timings.
