Transmission Problems on 92 honda accord. Please Help!
 

I have a 1992 Honda Accord LX Sedan with an automatic transmission. I've been drivin it for awhile and I noticed a couple weeks back that when I put it in park it would tick,tick,tick, backwards for about 3ft. I just ignored it and put the parking brake on. Then about 2 days ago the park gear quit. I would put it in park and it would act like it was in reverse. Someone told me my link was messed up.:|

Then lastnight I got in the car started it up and Park, Reverse, Neutral, D3, 2, & 1 all put the car in Reverse. D4 just put it in Neutral. So I had to drive it backwards a mile down the road to home. Right now the lever won't even push into the Park or Reverse gear, so I can't take my key out. I've tried everything. I put in more ATF, but I can't seem to find the problem.

I need some help. I'm gonna be taking mechanics in the National Guard but that won't be for awhile. Right now I know very little about cars.:crook::mad:

It sounds like it could be your link. Can you back it to a shop or find the linkage diagram and troubleshoot?
